    Ryan developed most of the strategy that helped Fall of Xarflock develop under budgetary and personnel weaknesses. He helped source multiple talented artists and scaled the community forum from three members to over one hundred members.
  • Plabmar Plunder: Liberate Xarflock!

    Ryan helped formulate the core concepts of the game with the team and helped create a technical document outlining the development guidelines for this game. He also drafted the first marketing campaign plan.

Experimental Web 3.0 Startup

  • Decentralized Investing

    Ryan identified value in Web 3.0 and assembled a team led by Steve Howell to spend 3 months in Phoenix, AZ to research & develop new technologies for the blockchain ecosystem.
  • Innovative Customer Experience

    Ryan and the team adopted a new perspective on customer experience and branding by creating a mascot for the company (a robot named Zeta) and built the entire business around the customer’s journey into this character’s world. This innovated concept blended the lines between fiction and reality.

Sales Intern @ Capsource Education

Ryan worked for an education service & technology startup to expand their pipeline by building sales campaigns and booking appointments. He also built proposals and sat in on live product demos and negotiations to learn more about the sales process.

Marketing Intern @ Rume

Ryan helped a YC-backed videoconferencing startup test their product in new markets by pitching the application to potential users & gathering feedback for features. He also helped set up events for customers.

  • Opportunity Recognition Award ‘15

    Ryan won his first ever award during a summer entrepreneurship course taught by professor Tommy Knapp at the University of Southern California.
  • Promotion of Justice Challenge ‘21

    Ryan, his brother, and Faith Nishimura created a powerful documentary that received first place in a competition at Loyola Marymount University and also placed globally in the top 50 submissions for a different competition.
  • 2x SURP Recipient ‘20 & ‘21

    Ryan has earned two summers of sponsored research through his university thanks to his passion and dedication towards EdTech. Research centered around the design, construction, and implementation of forward-thinking technology concepts for higher education.
  • Global Entrepreneurship Competition Finalist ‘21

    Ryan earned placement into a global pitch competition and was promptly sponsored by his school to attend the competition and associated conference in Tampa, Florida.
  • Dean’s List ‘21

    Ryan earned the honor of Dean’s List in 2021 for exceptional academic performance. Awarded by Dean Dayle Smith at LMU’s College of Business Administration.
  • Undergraduate Research Symposium Participant ‘22

    Ryan was nominated for and participated in LMU’s most prestigious research presentation. He conducted a 20-minute presentation about his research findings and answered questions from a live audience.
